Help Kids Exercise and Learn with a Cheery “Where are My Muscles?” exercise song.

Exercise songs are a great way to help children learn about the different parts of their body and various other things that surround them. Usually, school playground equipment In this post, I have picked up a great song that will help you not only get your toddler the right amount of exercise, but will also help him learn about his muscles, and how they are built. So here we go:

Where are my muscles I’d like to know?

(Move your arms in a warm up position)
Got some on top and some down below

(Point with your hands towards your shoulders)
To stay in shape I’ve got to work them all

(Now move your arms in the other direction)
Tap the muscles as each one I call

(Encourage kids to tap their muscles as you name them)
Quadriceps are at the front of your thigh

(Touch your Quadriceps)

Hamstrings are found at the back

(Touch your Hamstrings)
Gluteus maximus are the muscles in your rear

(Take your hands to your rear and touch and touch Gluteus maximus)
Gastrocnemius is the back of your calf

(Touch Gastrocnemius located in the back of your calf)
Latissimus dorsi along the sides of the back

(Touch Latissimus dorsi at the side of your back)
Erector spinae located along the spine

(Touch Erector spinae along the spice)
Abdominis rectus is your stomach

(Touch your stomach)
Obliques go down your sides like a line
Pectoralis major is in the chest

(Touch your chest )
Trapezius spans the neck, shoulders, and upper back

(Touch your neck, shoulders, and upper back)
Biceps and triceps are in your upper arm

(Touch your Biceps and triceps in your upper arm)
Where are my muscles I’d like to know?

(Clap your hands and sing)
Got some on top and some down below

(Point up, then down)
To stay in shape I’ve got to work them all
Tap the muscles as each one I call

(Encourage kids to tap all the muscles)
Quadriceps, gluteus maximus, hamstrings,

(Touch Quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and hamstrings)
gastrocnemius, latissimus dorsi, erector spinae

(Touch gastrocnemius, latissimus dorsi, and erector spina muscles)

abdominis rectus, obliques, pectoralis

(Touch abdominis rectus, obliques, and pectoralis muscles)

And there you go, you just went through all the muscle names on a human body with a quick exercise routine that gives more work out to children than a commercial playground equipment. The above routine will take around 15-20 minutes of your daily time, and within a week, your kid will not only learn all the muscle names, but will also be in a better shape.
