pag_07

Physical activity is extremely important for children, not because it helps them have the time to relax, but it helps them develop sound capabilities that help them later in life. In this post, we will look at the benefits of physical activity on children’s mental health.

The Advantages Of Physical Activity For Mental Health

Studies have found that children who do games are more sure. Thus, that certainty might enhance their scholastic execution, as well. Dynamic children have a tendency to improve grades. Despite the fact that there could be a considerable measure of purposes behind that, including cerebrum advantages, some portion of it might be better self-assurance.

Physical movement helps blood stream everywhere throughout the body, including to the cerebrum. With exercise, cells show signs of improvement at associating with each other. It promotes better thinking aptitudes. Studies demonstrate that individuals who practice more are more keen rationally. The impacts might be practically quick. Numerous studies have found that children who exercise on playground structure feel more content. Physical movement discharges mind chemicals that are regular anxiety contenders. Pretty much any physical action appears to offer assistance. Physically dynamic children are better at dealing with their inclinations and have less emotional episodes, as well.

Should Children Be Allowed to Play with Toy Guns?

Toy Gun
A 14-year-old girl was hospitalized on Saturday after her younger sister, 11, shot her in the head while “playing CSI” at their home in Logansport, Indiana. According to conservation officer Brenda Louthain, who investigated the incident, “The 14-year-old has shot pellets in the head area from a 20-gauge shotgun,” adding that the shot traveled through a door jamb before striking the girl. Neither parent was home at the time.

Play with Toy Guns 2
So this happened in Indiana. Before this I had ever heard toy guns causing such a fuss. In fact, I don’t remember a time when I saw kids not playing with guns. Toys can always pose a substantial damage to kids’ physical well being, especially if they are not being careful. But how do we know that our kids are being very careful around toys. We don’t know the safety measures of all toys, and we definitely not know to what extent a certain toy is dangerous even when all the safety measures are practiced. If our community and school playgrounds offer enough commercial playground equipment, there’s a possibility that children will not feel the need to go for for toys like guns.

So are the guns okay?

This is a rather complex issue, because if we think in terms of dangers to children, there is no such thing as ‘perfectly safe for a child.’ Kids have got to play with something. So, no I don’t believe that the children should be deprived of the joy that the toy guns bring to them. Girls may get busy with their Barbie dolls, but what are boys suppose to do? They have got to have their guns. The question that we should be asking is how can we prevent toy gun incidents?

Play with Toy Guns
As a parent and a guardian, it is our responsibility to make sure that children are aware how to stay safe. Outdoor playground equipment can offer ample recreational for children of all age groups. Apart from the recreational playground equipment, there are various other interactive games that can eradicate the need for toy guns.

Here are a couple of things that you should do before letting your kids play with toy guns:

  • First and most importantly, limit your kid’s presentation to viciousness on TV or in computer games. The American Academy of Pediatrics prescribes that the children presented to close to one to two hours of “value based programming” every day.
  • Talk with your tyke about the use of toy gun. The right and the wrong way to use.
  • For whatever length of time that playing with toy firearms doesn’t command a youngster’s chance, it’s alright to give him a chance to investigate it.
  • In case you’re going to purchase a toy firearm, ensure it truly resembles a toy. Some toy guns resemble real guns. Toy should look like a toy.
  • Make sure that a guardian is around when children play with toy guns.

What do you think, should we allow children to have toy guns? Your comments mean a lot to us, so don’t forget to share your opinion with us.

This book is not only a great read, but is also full of life’s most crucial lessons that can impossible impart to kids. Children’s lives are more than just hanging around the outdoor playground equipment or spending a chunk of their day in school activities. There is more to life than video games. Here, I quote the highlighted part of the story that explains the life of a child named Alexander and the calamities he follows throughout the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

“I went to sleep with gum in my mouth and now there’s gum in my hair and when I got out of bed this morning I tripped on the skateboard and by mistake I dropped my sweater in the sink while the water was running and I could tell it was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.”

Life is about disappointments and challenges that all of us need to face regardless of where we stand in life. And we need to help our children understand that. Life is no playground and certainly not enjoyable commercial playground equipment, which you can hop on and expect to have fun.

The Most Significant Lesson

“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” teaches kids about the crucial values that a family holds. In the story, the kid named Alexander finds himself locked in a chain of bad events, which he thinks are only happening to him. However, he soon realizes that the bad events are happening to all of his family members. And what do they do? They hold on to each other. They learn that no matter what, the family always comes first.

This story allows children to learn how to make through the bad events in life. While you read this story to your child, do not forget to highlight the importance of patience and courage to face the difficulties in life.

You are sitting with your mommy friends, gossiping about trends and the other minor things that you desperately want to speak of but somehow can’t find an outlet. Suddenly you hear an echoing scream, you turn and it’s not your child in agony, it’s one of the precious youngsters of one of your mommy friends who are now staring at you, judging you for your parenting. You want to dig a hole and disappear in it forever. You do not want to deal with this, not again!

6 Ways to Make Home Playgrounds More Fun and Safe

Home Playgrounds
Community and home playgrounds are one of the key recreational areas that allow children to shed their school stress and become more physically active. Unfortunately, our playgrounds are not as fun as they used to be; the outdated outdoor playground equipment and lack of playground space has made the community play spaces into boring, abandoned lots. However, you don’t have to leave the house in order to give your kids their play time. In this post, we have highlighted 6 effective ways that can help you turn your home playground into fun areas.

kids-playground-decorating-ideas-color-accents

1. Home Play area Containment

Containment is one of the most important thing for home play areas, as children can easily wander out on the street without considering the risks. Fences keep the children and their toys in one place and keep you worry free. It is highly recommended that you do not utilize barbed wire fences as clothing items can easily get stuck with them leading to serious injuries. Stone fencing and cement fencing are two of the best forms of fencing.

Specialized Playground Equipment

2. Specialized Playground Equipment

Another way to enhance your home play area is through specialized play systems. Sports equipment can make a huge difference when it comes to providing children with a challenging play system.

Add Slopes in Home Play Areas

3. Add Slopes in Home Play Areas

From the beginning of the time, slopes have been a great way to have fun. So, add slopes to your play area. If you already have a commercial playground equipment, you can add additional slopes and swings by adding ropes and Tyre swings to the structure. You can also create a mud hill for children to ride their bikes on.

4. Let kids utilize Hideaways

A great object for the natural creativity of children is a small enclosed structure that can be utilized for the hide and seek. A tree house, garage and inflatable pools are one of the great places for kids to hide. Allow kids to use different hideaways to make their games more interesting.

Make playground space available

5. Make playground space available

If you are a plant lover, then it is quite possible that your backyard space, which is also utilized as a play area, is filled with precious plants that you care about. Children can easily ruin those plants or any other fragile objects that happen to be in the play area. So, to avoid any damages, make sure that you give children ample space to play. Remove all the plants and other objects that might be a hindrance in their play activities. If you have an outdoor playground equipment installed in the backyard, make sure that all the other objects, such as garden tools, are placed at a distance.
